09/26/08
BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS DELAYED.   Crafters and Merchants - you should receive your booth assignment during the second week of October.  We apologize but this delay was unavoidable as we wait for a response from the City on a decision regarding tent set up in Kaimuki Community Park.

09/22/08   VENDOR LIST.   The list of vendors to date has been posted under the "Vendor List" tab.  The posting is subject to amendment.

09/04/08  TENT VENDORS.   Participants may bring their own tent or contact KBPA to rent a tent.

09/04/08   ACCEPTANCE/ACCEPTANCE PENDING/NON-ACCEPTANCE LETTERS.  Acknowledgment letters have been mailed and should reach you shortly.  If you failed to submit any item such as payment, pictures of your hand-crafted items (crafters) or general excise tax number, you must provide those items before you can be considered for acceptance into the event.

08/20/08   INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS.  Crafters and food vendors who have not submitted all items requested in the application will be contacted by the committee in early September and will be responsible for providing all the necessary paperwork immediately.

08/19/08   CRAFTER/VENDOR PARKING.  Many crafters have asked where the reserved parking spaces for vendors are located.  Currently, the parking for all vendors will be in the Central Pacific Bank building on Waialae Avenue across the park.  We are currently seeking a lot near Koko Head Avenue which might be available to vendors whose booth is on Waialae Avenue.  NOTE: Paid applications entitle a vendor to one (1) parking stall only, as available.  Vendors who photocopy the parking pass will forfeit their deposit.

08/02/08   QUARTERSHEET FLYER.  Get the word out!  Crafters and Artists who are participating in CKK 2008 may download the Quartersheet Flyer to print out and distribute to your customers at other events leading up to Saturday, November 1st!  Visit the "Promo Material" page.

07/30/08   LINK TO THIS WEBSITE.  Participating Crafters, Artists, Restaurants and Businesses who wish CKK to link to your website should send an email to info@celebratekaimuki.  Be sure to include your URL and email address!  When the Vendor List is posted, we will create a hot link to your website.  Please also list www.celebratekaimuki.com on your website!

07/30/08   DEADLINE EXTENDED.  The CKK Committee recently learned that the City and County permits due on August 1st DO NOT require a listing of all participating vendors as originally believed.  Consequently, CKK has extended the application deadline.  Booth spaces are still available because of this year's larger venue (the street closure).

07/23/08   TENTS.  All vendors should make arrangements directly with the Tent Supplier or bring your own tent.  Contact information for the Tent Suppier will be provided upon request.

07/02/08   PARKING UPDATE: CRAFTERS.  Your participation fee entitles you to one (1) covered, parking stall on event day.

07/02/08   UNLOADING/LOADING HELP FOR CRAFTERS & ARTISTS.  As an added service, unloading and loading assistance will be provided to all Crafters and Artists on event day.

8/27/07   TEMPORARY FOOD ESTABLISHMENT PERMIT.  Food Vendors must process and submit their own TFE permit.  If you have not already done so , please take care of this and send a copy of your permit to KBPA immediately!

8/27/07  SPECIAL REQUESTS AND ACCOMODATIONSThe Celebrate Kaimuki Committee will make every effort to accomodate participants in terms of booth selection.  It may not, however, be possible to satisfy all requests.  Additionally, all booth placement is subject to Park and City and County rules as well as the general Committee guidelines.  Thank you for your understanding.

8/10/07  CRAFTERS WELCOME!  Remember the day when Kaimuki had the quality craft fair of the season?  KPBA wants to bring those days back to Kaimuki.  Crafters please read our Welcome Letter to Crafters.

8/1/07   CRAFTER APPLICATIONS:  Crafters are not required to provide a Certificate of Insurance.   We apologize for the confusion.  KBPA will provide one reserved parking stall per crafter -- such parking stalls are provided on a first come, first served, space available basis.

7/19/07   VENDOR/COUPON BOOK COMBO DEAL:    The Committee approved a special offer to encourage multiple forms of participation by merchants:   Any Crafter, Restaurant or Merchant who reserves a booth space may also participate in the CK Coupon Book at the special rate of $25.00.

7/19/07   FOOD VENDOR TEMPORARY FOOD ESTABLISHMENT PERMIT:     Approved Temporary Food Establishment permits and site plans are due on August 31, 2007.  Because of the need to submit additional park use permits, this deadline was moved forward from the original date of October 1, 2007.

7/16/07   FOOD VENDOR OVERLAP:  The Vendor Committee wishes to prevent the substantial overlap of food offerings.  If there is a conflict between the items Food Vendors wish to offer, the Food Vendor who submitted its approved application earliest will be given preference.  The number of Food Vendor applications to be accepted will still be limited.

7/15/07   BOOTH SPACE SELECTION:    Booth space layout on the Kaimuki Park grounds has not been finalized.  The final layout will be determined after final vendor applications have been received and processed.

7/06/07    ADDITIONAL WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:  There are numerous ways to participate in the Celebrate Kaimuki Kanikapila.  Please see the "Other Ways to Join In" tab.   For example, Merchants who cannot have a booth at Kaimuki Park due to staff limitations can offer a discount or special in the Celebrate Kaimuki Coupon Book (You can, of course, have a booth AND participate in the Coupon Book).

6/30/07    KBPA members may pick up a Crafter/Vendor Application at the Installation and Fellowship Banquet this Thursday, July 5th at Happy Days Restaurant.

6/27/07   Over the upcoming weeks the CK Committee will make "door-to-door" visits to Merchants in the Kaimuki Business District to drop off Vendor Applications and publicize the event.

6/22/07   Crafter/Vendor Applications to participate in Celebrate Kaimuki Kanikapila are now available.  Please call 739-5272 or email info@celebratekaimuki.com for additional information.

NOTE:  At this time applications from Restaurant and Food vendors will be limited to the first eight (8).  Currently, there is no limit on Craft, Merchant and Community Vendors and all applications will be considered.
